Ghana suspends electricity export as fire at major substation knocks out about 1,000 megawatts


Accra, Ghana (PANA)  - Ghana has suspended export of electricity to neighbouring countries after a devastating fire on Thursday afternoon at a substation linked to the West African country's major hydroelectric dam at Akosombo knocked out about 1,000 megawatts of power from the national grid
