Sudanese PM says dismantling Bashir's party not an act of vengeance


Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - Sudanese prime minister, Abdallah Hamdouk, has said the enactment of a new law that abrogated an infamous gender-insensitive laws and disbanded the National Congress Party of deposed president Omar Bashir, was not a quest for vengeance “but rather to preserve and restore the dignity of our people” The prime minister, returning from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he led Sudan's delegation to the inter-governmental authority for development (IGAD), has tweeted that the abolition of the Public Order Law by the transitional government reminds him of the image of the brave young woman stepping on the back of a young man helping her climb the wall during one of the protests
