Senegal qualifies for London Olympics soccer tournament

Dakar, Senegal (PANA) - Senegal's national Olympic football team has qualified 2012 Olympic Games after beating Oman 2-0 in a playoff on Monday evening.

Senegal booked its first Olympic football ticket ever after the playoff in Coventry, England, thanks to goals by Spain-based Ibrahima Balde in the second minute and Abdoulaye Sane, who plays in France, in the 87th minute.

Senegal has now joined the 15 teams that have already qualified for the prestigious Olympic football tournament.
