President Kagame 'eagerly expected in Pais by the Rwandan diaspora

Kigali, Rwanda (PANA) – About 2,500 Rwandans of the Diaspora in a dozen European countries are preparing to give a warm welcome for the Rwandan president, Paul Kagame, who will make a historic visit to France on 12-13 September, Rwandan radio reported on Thursday evening quoting diplomatic source in Kigali.

During the visit , the Rwandan president will hold talks with his French counterpart, Nicolas Sarkozy on strengthening and reconciliation efforts between Paris and Kigali.

Rwanda and France re-established diplomatic ties in November 2009, three years after the two countries had broken them off following the international arrest warrants issued by the French examining magistrate Jean-Louis Bruguière against nine Rwandan personalities in a genocide case.

President Kagame will meet Rwandans of the Diaspora in Europe on 11 September in the French capital before the visit.
