The Sudanese national football team has put one foot in the final of the African Nations Cup scheduled to be held in Morocco 2025 with a historic 2-0 victory over the Ghanaian national team this afternoon at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benghazi in the fourth round of Group Six

The first goal was scored by play maker Ahmed Hamed El-Tesh and striker Mohamed Abdel Rahman added the second goal. Sudan's tally rose to 7 points in second place behind Angola.

The Falcons have two matches to play yet against Niger on its land and Angola in Benghazi, the virtual stadium of the Falcons.

Early this month, General Burhan sent a special plane to go and collect the Sudanese national team for its match in Libya against the Ghanaian national team as reports were coming that they were stranded in Ghana and would reach Libya fatigued and tired,

The victory over Ghana became a trend in social media and people in private groups and collective platforms and are now talking more about the team than about the fierce fighting that broke in the national capital, Khartoum, which the regular army is trying to comb from troops of its foes, the Rapid Support Force.
