Nigeria, Benin leaders meet in Abuja

Abuja, Nigeria (PANA) – Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting on Thursday with his Beninese  counterpart, Mr Patrice Talon, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

President Buhari received President Talon at the forecourt of the Villa.

The two leaders thereafter went up to the President’s office for the meeting.

Sources said that President Buhari, who is Chairman of the ECOWAS Heads of State and Government since 31 July 2018, is holding the meeting with his Benin Republic counterpart to discuss bilateral issues, including the crisis trailing the amendment of the country’s electoral act and the disputed April parliamentary elections.
