Libya attends meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Saudi Arabia

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Al Taher al-Baour, Libya's acting Foreign Minister, is heading the country's delegation to the preparatory meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers Summit in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The meeting comes in the context of preparations for the extraordinary summit of the Arab League Council, which is due to be held on Saturday at the request of Palestine and Saudi Arabia, said a statement from the government in Tripoli.

It said that the meeting is to work on a draft resolution for the summit which will express the collective Arab position against the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

It will also develop a mechanism on how the Arabs can act on the international scene in order to put an end to the Israeli aggression and support Palestine and its people.

Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid al Dbaiba on Thursday reiterated the country's position at the Council of Ministers meeting in Gharyan, 80 km south of Tripoli, rejecting the Israeli occupation's aggression against the Gaza Strip and the policy of systematic murder and extermination.
