Libya: Trial of pro-Khadafi officials postponed to 11 May

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - A court in Tripoli, the Libyan capital, has adjourned to 11 May 2014 the trial of 37 former top officials of former Libyan leader Mouammar Khadafi, including his son Seif al-Islam who appeared via video conferencing Sunday.

The last Prime Minister in the Khadafi regime, Baghdadi Mahmoudi, his intelligent service chief Abdallah Al-Senoussi and his last Foreign Affairs Minister Abdelati Labidi were present in court Sunday.

The officials were indicted 24 Oct. 2013 for various crimes, including the suppression of the 2011 revolution.

Seif Al-Islam, who is being detained in the Western city of Zenten, is being tried by video conferencing for security reasons.
