Libya: Nearly 400 people killed in two months of fighting in Benghazi

Benghazi, Libya (PANA) – Nearly 400 people have been killed in two months of fighting in eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, according to a medical centre in the city.

It said 399 had been recorded as dead adding that it had since 15 October received 365 corpses following armed clashes, fierce bombardments, assassinations and executions.

More than 2,000 families have been displaced because of the fighting between Libyan armed forces and the Choura Council of Benghazi revolutionaries, a coalition of Islamist armed groups, according to a joint communiqué issued on Friday by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Libyan Red Crescent.
