Gambian polls: President Jammeh promises more development

Banjul, Gambia (PANA) - Gambian President Yahya Jammeh has rallied the people of the North Bank Region to vote for him in the 24 Nov. presidential election so he can bring more development to the region and the country.

The President spoke during a campaign stop in the region on Monday.

He told supporters in Kerewan that his government has continued to develop the region, and that if given the mandate by the people of the region, his government will introduce more development projects there.

“I am not here to campaign, but to tell you to decide between development and the opposition. If you want development, vote me, but if you do not want development, vote for the opposition,” President Jammeh said.

He urged the people of the region not to listen to the opposition, saying Gambian opposition leaders have no plan for the country.
