Burundian govt. appeals for int'l aid to rebuild burnt market

Bujumbura, Burundi (PANA) – The Burundian government has appealed to the international community to assist it in rebuilding the Bujumbura central market, gutted by fire last Sunday.

The appeal was made Thursday by the Burundian Minister of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation, Laurent Kavakure, while conducting foreign diplomats round the market.

The cause of the fire is still not unknown but security officials have been deployed there.
