Angola's First Division football championship to start Friday

Luanda, Angola (PANA) - The 32nd edition of Angola's First Division senior men's football championship, dubbed “Girabola2011”, will kick off Friday with a match between Benfica de Luanda and FC Bravos do Maquis.

A total of 16 teams will compete in the tournament in various stadia across the country.

Interclube are the title hoders.

Académica do Lobito – Kabuscorp do Palanca

Santos FC – Progresso do Sambizanga

Petro de Luanda – FC de Cabinda

Recreativo do Libolo – Recreativo da Caála do Huambo

Académica do Soyo – ASA

1º de Agosto – Interclube

Benfica de Luanda – FC Bravos do Maquis

Sagrada Esperança – 1º de Maio de Benguela.
