2019 CAF U-17 AFCON qualifiers: Uganda, Ethiopia reach Central-East Zone final qualifying match

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (PANA) - Uganda and Ethiopia on Friday reached the finals of the Central-East Zone qualifiers for the 2019 CAF Under-17 AFCON, which will take place in Tanzania next year.

In their semi-final matches played at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam, Uganda defeated hosts Tanzania 3-1, while Ethiopia beat Rwanda 4-2 on penalty shootout after both teams tied 2-2 at full time.

In the finals on Sunday, Uganda will meet Ethiopia, while Tanzania face Rwanda in the third-place match.

It is now clear that one of Uganda and Ethiopia will represent the Central-East Zone in Tanzania 2019. However, the Tanzanians will also qualify as host.
