2017 FIFA U-20 WC: Guinea draw 1-1 with England

Jeonju, South Korea (PANA) - Guinea on Tuesday drew 1-1 with England in their Day 2, Group A match at the ongoing 2017 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in South Korea.

In the match played at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium, Jeonju, Lewis Cook scored in 53rd minute for England.

But as Guinea piled up pressure on England, Nigerian-born England player, Fikayo Tomori, wilted and scored an own goal to present Guinea with the needed equalizer.

Guinea had lost 3-0 to host nation South Korea in their fist group match on 20 May.

The result leaves Guinea at one point from two matches and England at 4 points. England were bronze medallists in 1993 and fourth-place finishers earlier in 1981.

In a Group B, Day 2 match, played at the Daejeon World Cup Stadium, Daejeon, Venezuela battered Vanuatu 7-0.
