2016 FIFA U-20 WWC: Japan, North Korea reach semi-finals

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PANA) - Japan and North Korea on Thursday qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing 2016 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea.

In their quarter-final match, North Korea, winners of the competition in 2006, runners up in 2008, and fourth-place finishers in 2014, defeated Spain 3-2.

Japan, third-place winners in 2012, demolished Brazil, bronze medallists in 2006 and fourth-place finishers in 2002 and 2004, 3-1.
