1st LEAD: Tunisian Parliament passes no confidence vote in new government

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - The Tunisian parliament Friday evening passed a no confidence vote in the new government chaired by Habib Jemli, an agricultural expert elected by the Islamist party Ennahdha, winner of last October’s parliamentary elections.

Out of 209 participating elected members of parliament, 134 voted against, 72 for and three abstained.

Only the Ennahdha Members of Parliament (54 elected members) and their allies of the Al Karama coalition (19) voted for the proposed government.
