Port-Louis, Mauritius (PANA) - Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) who met over the weekend at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, have called on member states to fully support the ''legitimate claim of Mauritius for the restoration of its sovereignty over Chagos Archipelago without which the full decolonisation of Africa is not complete''
PANA reports that the Chagos Archipelago is a set of 52 islets situated 1000km to the north of Mauritius that was detached in the early sixties by the then British colonial government that ruled over Mauritius, prior to the latter’s independence in 1968
