Libyan-Turkish-Italian hold summit in Istanbul on economic cooperation in the Mediterranean

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdulhamid Al Dbaiba, will participate on Friday in a tripartite summit in Istanbul, Turkey, with the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni.

The summit will address strategic issues of common interest, including economic cooperation and development in the Mediterranean, strengthening partnerships in the energy and oil sectors, as well as irregular migration and its repercussions on regional security and stability, a statement issued on Thursday by the Libyan Prime Minister’s Press Office said.

This summit is part of ongoing coordination between Libya, Turkey and Italy aimed at promoting common approaches that serve the interests of the peoples of the region and contribute to stability and international cooperation, the statement said.
