Djibouti City, Djibouti (PANA) - The Head of Management of the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Al-Taher al-Baour, says his country is ready to host the fourth Türkiye-African Summit scheduled for 2026.
In a speech at the third Türkiye-African ministerial conference in Djibouti, Mr. Al-Baour stressed the importance of their partnership and its role in achieving sustainable development on the African continent, according to a statement issued by the Libyan Foreign Ministry on Sunday.
He stressed the importance of the role of regional economic groups such as the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA), which groups Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia in strengthening regional cooperation and integration.
Mr. Al-Baour praised the efforts made by the African Union Commission to strengthen cooperation between the continent and Turkey.
The third Türkiye-African ministerial conference aims to review and evaluate cooperation mechanisms between the two sides.
