Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Manfi, on Monday participated in the 42nd session of the Committee of Heads of State and Government responsible for steering the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD).
This was an ordinary annual meeting aimed at following up on the Agency's implementation plans for the Africa 2063 Development Agenda, in response to the aspirations of the African peoples for a prosperous and secure future, a statement by the Libyan Presidential Council said.
The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is the development arm of the African Union, responsible for implementing a range of development projects and programmes in African Union countries, as well as improving the quality of education and training, and absorbing modern technologies in coordination with international partners.
The mission of the African Union Development Agency is to facilitate and coordinate the development of programmes and projects across the African continent, while mobilising resources. It also ensures effective cooperation between the African Union Commission, the NEPAD Agency and African Communities.
