Libya calls for joint action within the Arab League
Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has stressed the importance of advancing joint Arab action and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between the Member States of the League of Arab States.
This is to achieve prosperity and progress for the peoples of Arab nations and raising it to the status they deserve among the nations and peoples of the world.
In a statement issued on Sunday to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the League of Arab States, the ministry stressed the importance of consolidating Arab solidarity and strengthening joint Arab action by developing the League's working mechanisms to meet the regional and international challenges facing the Arab region and the world as a whole.
In its statement, the Ministry called for strengthening the Arab League's capacity to face these challenges by unifying Arab visions and positions on them, and by helping to reinforce its capacity to defend just Arab causes, foremost among which is the Palestinian cause.
In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the establishment of strategic partnerships to strengthen the Arab League's international position in achieving growth, prosperity and progress for the peoples of the region, and in guaranteeing the rights of future generations.
