Mauritania: Mauritania to host Niger in soccer friendly 5 March

Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) – Mauritania’s national soccer team will host its Nigerien counterpart here 5 March as part of festivities marking the FIFA day, sports sources told PANA on Thursday.

For that match, the "Mourabbitounes", whose key players took part in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa, would be strengthened by some foreign-based players, including Ba Adama, a striker at French second division side, Bastia.

The encounter will serve as a warm up for their participation in the qualifiers for the next Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), to be hosted in Morocco next year.
