Tunisia to host TICAD 8 in 2022

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - The 8th session of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) will take place in Tunisia in 2022, said a press release issued on Thursday by the Embassy of Japan in Tunis.

Until 2013, TICAD was held every five years in Japan. Since 2016, it has been held every three years alternately in Japan and Africa.  

Tunisia, which has participated in most of the meetings with high-level delegations, will be the second country to host this "grand event" after Kenya (Nairobi).
