Bamako, Mali (PANA) – The Secretary General of the International Francophonie Organization (OIF), Mrs Michaëlle Jean, has condemned the attack perpetrated on 7 August on Byblos Hotel in the Malian city of Sevare, near Mopti, which claimed the lives for 13 including.

The dead included 5 peacekeepers, 4 assailants and 4 Malian soldiers.

In a declaration received by PANA on Tuesday, Mrs Jean said that "the horrible and barbaric attack" illustrated once again the determination of "the evil forces" to thwart the recent peace deal signed in Mali.

Heads of State and government who have the French language in common and who met in Dakar on 29-30 November 2014 in Dakar, Senegal, adopted a resolution condemning without reservation terrorism under all its forms and manifestations.
