Libyan airlines to resume services to Cairo

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Libyan Minister of Transport Mohamed al-Shhoubi have agreed with Egyptian Minister of Aviation Mohamed Manar on the resumption by Libyan airlines of flights to Cairo airport, an official statement issued here said.

The wo ministers also agreed on the exchange of visits by experts from both countries, the opening of exchange points for the reception of air traffic, and training in the field of safety and air navigation.

The chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority in Libya, Mustafa Ben Ammar, and the deputy director of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, Essam Kichk, took part in the meeting, which also discussed several technical issues.

This meeting comes on the sidelines of the participation of the Libyan Minister of Transport in the 11th Session of the Joint Libyan-Egyptian High Commission held on Thursday in the Egyptian capital, under the co-chairmanship of the prime ministers of the two countries, Abdelhamid al-Dbaiba and Mustafa Madbouly.

It ended with the signing of 13 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between the two parties in a number of fields and six executive contracts.

The documents were initialed by the Ministry of Civil Service of the Government of National Unity and the Central Agency for Organization and Administration in Egypt.

They covered the fields of administration and civil service between the Libyan Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation for cooperation in the agricultural field.
