Libyan FM attends preparatory meetings of the Arab Summit in Algiers

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Libyan Foreign Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Najla al-Mangouch, arrived in Algiers on Friday to participate in the preparatory meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the League of Arab States, ahead of the 31st session of the summit, scheduled to take place in early November in the Algerian capital.

In a tweet on Friday, al-Mangouch wrote: "I arrived (today) in the Algerian capital as it completed its preparations for the Algiers 2022 summit, and Arab delegations continue to arrive to participate in the Arab reunification summit".

She added: "I am proud to represent Libya and our Arab brothers welcome its return to actively participate in strengthening the system of joint Arab action. The Arab foreign ministers will hold a closed-door working session to adopt the draft agenda and to examine and approve the draft resolutions of the Arab summit."

According to Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra, the Libyan crisis should be at the top of the agenda of the Arab summit, which will also be an opportunity to strengthen the path to a peaceful settlement of the crises in the Arab countries, particularly in Libya, Syria and Yemen, in order to preserve the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of these countries.
