Libya, Tunisia airspace to open next month

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The reopening of the airspace between Libya and Tunisia is scheduled to start in early October, Libyan airline Afriqiyah Airways announced on Sunday after several months of closure due to preventive measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in both countries.

In a statement, Afriqyah Airways said that after consultation with the Tunisian side it was decided by the authorities to gradually open the airspace, according to the health protocols in force in both countries, from early October.

It said that the Tunisian General Directorate of Civil Aviation has set the conditions for accepting arrivals in Tunisia on board flights, which will be implemented from 28 September.
