Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Manfi, arrived in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, on Thursday at an invitation from President Yoweri Museveni to attend the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Third South Summit of the Group of 77 and China.
A statement published by the Press Office of the chairman of the Presidential Council said Mr. al-Manfi was welcomed by Ugandan officials.
The 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement begins this Friday in the Ugandan capital and will last two days. It is under the theme: "Strengthening cooperation for shared global prosperity".
Mr. al-Manfi will also take part in the Third South Summit of the Group of 77 and China on 21 and 22 January on the theme "Leaving no one behind".
In Kampala, the 134 Member States will reiterate the message of solidarity, unity and complementarity of the South and speak with a unified voice to achieve their common goals and objectives.
