Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Manfi, has arrived in the Bahraini capital, Manama, to participate in the 33rd Arab Summit.
He was welcomed in the Royal Hall at Bahrain International Airport, by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a representative of the King, according to a press release from the Press Office of the chairman of the Presidential Council.
The press release said Mr. al-Manfi's participation in the Arab Summit is a continuation of Libya's ongoing role in strengthening Arab solidarity in the light of the regional and international contexts which are exerting pressure on the Arab region. These, it said, require the need to take constructive decisions that will help support efforts to bring peace, security and stability to the region.
