350 Mauritanians arrive Nouakchott from Cote d'Ivoire

Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) - A group of 350 Mauritanians living in Cote d’Ivoire, successfully repatriated from Cote d'Ivoire, arrived Wednesday in Nouakchott, according to a communiqué from the Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, issued Friday.

The group takes to 3,648 the number of Mauritanians evacuated from Cote d’Ivoire.

"No human loss was recorded among the Mauritanians and almost all their properties are safe from the looting and vandalisation that went on in Cote d'Ivoire," the communiqué indicated.

The Mauritanian government also thanked the Ivorian authorities, the French Licorne Force and the UN agencies for assisting the Mauritanians.
