Côte d’Ivoire: 3 candidates for national team coach interviewed

Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (PANA) - A committee of the Ivorian football federation (FIF) Tuesday evening interviewed the three candidates for the post of national football team coach.

According to the FIF, French Frédéric Antonetti and Hervé Renard were interviewed via video conferencing while Portuguese José Manuel De Jésus was interviewed on phone.

FIF will make its final decision latest on Thursday.

the technical committee set up to recruit a national coach had shortlisted five candidates out of the 37 who applied for the post, following the resignation of French-Tunisian Sabri Lamouchi, in the wake of the first round ouster of the Ivorian nation team from the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The FIF executive committee, in charge of validating the final decision, Friday further reduced the number of shortlisted candidates to three.
